About Your Therapist

My name is Roberto Guerrero (Robert), I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, National Certified Counselor, Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, and EMDR Trained therapist. I have over nine years of experience in the field of mental health and chemical dependency, and currently operate a private counseling practice exclusively online near Dallas, Texas. I primarily work with young adults and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief, career issues, relationship and marriage problems, and other life challenges. I also offer consulting services for business professionals.

My approach is to develop a relaxed, non-threatening, and non-clinical professional relationship with my clients. I recognize that the first step to a better life is often the most difficult. I help my clients with that first step and the path that follows. Together, we develop individualized strategies that produce results and lead to a more fulfilling life.

I completed my Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling – Clinical Mental Health at Grand Canyon University. I also have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, which I utilize in my work with entrepreneurs and business professionals. My professional experience includes 13-years in law enforcement, business ownership and working in various sectors of the mental health fields, including working with mild to severe mental health issues, and victims of abuse/trauma. I have extensive experience working in a correctional setting with both adults and juveniles with substance use disorders and mental illnesses. More recently, I’ve concentrated my counseling practice on dealing with the common, yet significant, challenges that life inevitably brings. I also work with first-responders and ex-military personnel who are suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chemical dependency issues.

If you are searching for direction, contentment, or need help getting past an obstacle in your personal or professional life, I would welcome the opportunity to assist you.
